VILLAGE OF PADDOCK LAKE, WISCONSIN

WELCOME!

We are very excited about using this new site to communicate with our residents, businesses, and visitors.  We will always try to provide up-to-date information regarding Village services and how we are striving to enhance your quality of life.  Our site is always under construction, so please check back often for updates.

The Village of Paddock Lake is a small rural community of approximately 3,200 residents.  Being located in southeastern Wisconsin, between Milwaukee and Chicago, allows the Village to maintain it's rural atmosphere with the conveniences of the big cities and their business, industry, and entertainment.

Two beautiful lakes stand out as the Village's greatest features, Paddock and Hooker Lakes.  With the close vicinity of the Bong Recreation Area, Paddock Lake and Hooker Lakes areas are able to offer fishing, boating, hiking and horseback riding as well as other recreational opportunities.

We would like to encourage you to not only explore our website, but also to come and explore our wonderful community and see what we have to offer.

SPRING LEAF PICK UP

Leaf pick up is underway.  The Public Works crew will continue with this program on an "as needed" basis until May 16th.  After May 16th, leaves and grass will NOT be picked up until the fall.  However, you can bring them to the Public Works Facility at the eat end of 62nd Street where a bin is provided.  Please DO NOT put any leaves or grass along the road after May 15th.  It will not be picked up, and you may be cited for ordinance violation

SPRING CLEAN UP

The Village of Paddock Lake will again be having the annual spring clean up.  This is your opportunity to get rid of all those things that have accumulated in the garage, basement, etc.

On May 17, 2008 from 8 A.M. until 3 P.M. there will be dumpsters at the public works facility at the east end of 62nd Street.  Residents are invited to dispose of their unwanted items at this time.  There will be a village employee on site to help you.

Sorry some things are not accepted.  Do not bring tires, paints, solvents, oil, pesticides, or any other hazardous material.

 OPEN BURNING

There have been some changes to the open burning ordinance.  Burn barrels are NO longer allowed under any circumstances.  Also, recreationalfires in properfire pits must be extinguished by 1:00 A.M. Remember no leaf and yard waste burning.

CHECK OUT THE ONLINE POLL QUESTION!

The online poll results from April 28th- May 5th. I am sorry to say we only had three votes for last weeks question.  The good news is that change does not affect these three people. 67% voted that change is good.  The other 33% said that change does not affect them.  Thanks for voting.  This weeks question is about Mother's Day.
